Treasury management

Risk management tells you what to do. The back office makes sure it actually happens — correctly, on time, and on the record. Many teams still run that layer on spreadsheets and inboxes, where there's no real segregation of duties, no audit trail, and a single keystroke can cost millions. Forge aHedge runs your derivatives and physical hedges from deal capture through to settlement on controls built for treasury, so procurement, treasury, finance and your auditors all work from one trusted record.

Controls and segregation of duties, by design

  • Separate the people who deal, confirm, settle and report — enforced by the system, not goodwill

  • Configurable approval chains match your delegation of authority and treasury policy

  • Maker-checker workflows on every sensitive action, from new deals to common data changes

  • Removes the key-person and fraud risk that spreadsheets quietly create

Every action, on the record

  • Immutable audit trail capturing who did what, when — across every item in the system

  • Full change history on every position, rate and object, with before-and-after values

  • Auditor- and board-ready reporting on demand, without a month-end scramble

  • Evidence of controls operating effectively — the proof external auditors and boards ask for

  • Onboarding and offboarding access in clicks, with a clean record of who had what, when

From deal capture to cash, without the handoffs

  • Automatic generation of settlement and cashflow schedules across forwards, futures, swaps and options

  • Maturity, fixing, premium and settlement events calculated and calendared so nothing is missed

  • Straight-through from trade to settlement to reconciliation and accounting — one record, no rekeying

  • One specialist layer for hedging, slotted cleanly into your wider treasury stack

Works alongside your TMS, not against it

  • Purpose-built for the commodity hedge book your TMS treats as an afterthought

  • Fully API-enabled — feeds confirmed deals, settlements and valuations into your existing systems

  • Adds the controls and audit depth treasury teams need to manage commodity and / or fx risk

  • One specialist layer for hedging, slotted cleanly into your wider treasury stack

Is Forge aHedge a treasury management system (TMS)?

No. Forge aHedge is a specialist platform for commodity and FX hedging that complements your TMS or CTRM rather than replacing it. It adds the exposure analytics, controls and back-office depth that general-purpose treasury systems handle poorly, and integrates with your existing stack via API.

How does Forge aHedge enforce segregation of duties?

Roles for dealing, confirmation, settlement, accounting and reporting are separated and enforced in the system through role-based access and flexible maker-checker, four-eyes approval workflows. Sensitive actions require a second authoriser, so no single user can originate and complete a transaction unchecked.

Can it generate settlements automatically?

Yes. The platform automatically generates settlement and cashflow schedules across forwards, futures, swaps and options, calendars maturity, fixing, and premium events, and prepares net settlements.

What audit trails does Forge aHedge provide?

Every action is captured in an immutable audit trail — who did what, when and from where — with full before-and-after change history on positions, rates and common data. Reports are available on demand for auditors and boards.

Why use a dedicated system instead of spreadsheets?

Spreadsheets have no enforced controls, no segregation of duties and no reliable audit trail, which creates operational, fraud and key-person risk. A purpose-built system enforces your policy automatically, records every action, and removes the manual rekeying where errors and losses occur.

Who in the organisation uses it?

Treasury, procurement, finance and back-office teams work in one platform, each with role-appropriate access and views. Dealers capture and analyse, approvers authorise within mandate, settlement and accounting teams process and reconcile, and management gets read-only reporting.
